![]() Okay smart guy, show me where in the fine print. His answer – shuttle service is not guaranteed it’s in the fine print. I booked the reservation based on parking my car at the hotel and getting a shuttle to and from the airport. First topic of discussion – shuttle problems. And that’s when I meet Octavio, the anti-customer service, I-don’t-give-a-damn-about-your-problem front desk clerk. My husband gets the luggage and the kids in the car while I attempt to keep composure and find out why we had these shuttle issues and why I’m being overcharged for parking. How in the heck do you get charged a parking fee on top of higher rate to park, stay and fly? Good vacation vibes gone. But to add insult to injury I also see that the hotel has not only charged me for the Park-Stay-Fly rate of $234 but they also charged me for PARKING! I’m not making this up see screenshot below. ![]() As we pull into the parking lot on Mariposa I see my car is still in intact – finally something went right. I am still on the last of my vacation high, so I do my best not to lose my cool with the shuttle driver when he finally arrives after 35 minutes. Oh and we’d also need to drag the children, and luggage to the general curbside pick-up because the driver is still using the family SUV. It’s been a week – so of course, the hotel’s shuttle should be fixed, right? W-R-O-N-G after calling to make sure the shuttle service knows were are waiting we are told again that we would need to pay for taxis or wait 30-40 minutes for the shuttle driver. I am half expecting my car to be stolen or vandalized to complete my horrible experience – but that’s not all folks… Upon my return to LAX we go to the Hotel Shuttle pick up location and wait for the shuttle. By now – I am regretting I ever booked at this hotel. The shuttle driver refuses to drop us off at the Delta airlines curbside bag check because “it’s too hard to exit the airport from there.” So he drops us and our luggage at Terminal 3 and we schlep our stuff to Terminal 2 to drop it off. We needed to be at the airport to catch our morning flight, so again, we reluctantly crammed into the family SUV and half of our party took a taxi. Whaaaaaa? Seriously? In the 30 minutes we were standing in the lobby no one could mention this. He says we could take a taxi and the hotel would reimburse us. We arrive at 5:30am in the lobby waited for 30 minutes before the shuttle driver says their shuttle is broken and we would need to take a Ford Explorer that seats 4. I was told to be downstairs 15 minutes before 6 as the shuttle leaves every 30 minutes. I inquired about what I needed to do to reserve the shuttle, there would be a total of 4 adults, 2 toddlers, and 2 babies with luggage for a week-long trip and I didn’t want to have an issue getting everyone to the airport on time. I needed to be at LAX at 6:30am so I begrudgingly stayed at this hotel. If you can’t price match your own hotel rates using website vs. I should have known then – staying here was a mistake. When I inquired about price matching the rate (my friend used the Hilton app to book) I was told that Hilton only price matches when you compare the rates of, Travelzoo or another 3rd party. Upon arrival, my friends who also booked at this hotel told me they got the same promotion for $170. I booked directly through the Park-Stay-Fly promotion for $234. ![]() ![]() ![]()
